This article containsa pretty hefty spoiler. If you don’t want to know what happened in Game of Thrones this week then do yourself a favour and get out of here. The internet is a vast place, you’ll find something to do.
Right, let’s get to it. The wait is finally over, we now know what happened to Jon Snow. He’s alive , kids. We suspected as much, the biggest clue being that Kit Harrington was seen on set for ages. His excuse was that he was playing a corpse, but wouldn’t his body have started to rot after a while? Mind you, it is getting cold, winter is coming after all.
Harrington even went on Jonathan Ross and said things like Its going to be so satisfying when you see it and you realise that I was telling the truth the whole time.” I don’t blame him, obviously, it’s all part of the suspense/marketing build up to season six.
Harrington, being the gentlemen that he is, took the big reveal as an opportunity to apologise. In a video recorded for Entertainment Weekly he said:
“I’d like to say sorry for lying to everyone. I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it.”
We decided to try and get involved in Game of Thrones this week, with our very own Richard Gadd doing his best to get a slot on the show. Here’s his audition…who wouldn’t cast him?
